Our History
Everbilt® was founded in 1975 by a group of engineers and builders who were passionate about creating high-quality hardware and tools. In the early days, Everbilt® focused on manufacturing fasteners like screws, nails, bolts, and nuts.
As the years went by, we expanded into making other products like door and cabinet hardware, plumbing supplies, fencing materials, organization solutions, and more. Our goal has always been to produce dependable products that make projects easier for DIYers and contractors alike.
In the 2000s, Everbilt® experienced rapid growth as we built partnerships with major home improvement retailers. Today, Everbilt® products are sold at stores across the country and online. Our headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located just outside of Portland, Oregon.
Over the decades, Everbilt® has stayed true to its roots. We still engineer and produce the majority of our products in the USA. Our team is made up of experienced builders, designers, and trade workers who know what it takes to make projects succeed.

Tom Ackerman, President & CEO – Tom joined Everbilt® in 2005 after a successful career leading manufacturing plants. Under his guidance, Everbilt® has grown into an industry leader. Tom is passionate about operational excellence and new product development.
Olivia Tran, Director of Engineering – Olivia leads our talented engineering team. She has pioneered numerous patents during her tenure. Olivia ensures our designs meet durability, usability, and safety requirements.
DeShawn Bell, VP of Sales – Leading our sales organization, DeShawn has tripled our large retailer partnerships. He spearheads promotional planning, brand partnerships, and channel expansion.
Maya Kwon, Director of Marketing – Maya oversees advertising, social media, and brand identity for Everbilt®. She connects with DIY and contractor communities to understand their needs.
Alejandro Torres, VP of Operations – With 30+ years in manufacturing, Alejandro heads production across our multiple facilities. He is obsessed with efficiency and quality control.

Giving Back
In addition to making reliable products, Everbilt® believes in making a real difference for others. We support local and national charities through donations, volunteer events, and partnership programs.
Some organizations we’ve worked with over the years include:
- Habitat for Humanity – We’ve donated home improvement products and employee labor to build houses for those in need. It’s very rewarding to see families get keys to their new homes.
- YouthBuild – This nonprofit provides job skills and education opportunities for at-risk youth. We’ve sponsored construction toolkits and training for teens in the program.
